Stefan Bußmann is responsible for meat purchasing at Bedford. We spoke with him about Bedford’s proof of origin and why working with farmers from the region is advantageous for everyone.

Bedford is a pioneer when it comes to transparency: A registration number gives you all the information you need concerning your ham, from the rearing to the slaughtering of the animal. For Stefan Bußmann this is a matter of course: “Thus the consumer has the quality of our products documented in writing.” And naturally: Bedford is only supplied from farmers that it knows. With this policy you know what you are getting – and what the animals are getting: high-quality feed, exclusively. And that’s also good to know!
